Technology Education at Schechter Technology Education at Gross Schechter Day School is unique in its educational approach. Children in Kindergarten through 8th grade receive weekly instruction in keyboarding skills and hardware instruction, as well as learning new software and its applications. Our entire technology curriculum is geared to correlate to curriculum in other classes at Schechter.
Our students are fortunate to learn in such a remarkable facility. In the past, our computer lab consisted of twelve older computers, but today our lab contains 23 brand new computers, a new scanner, and two professional printers. Our Internet access is quick and efficient, allowing for maximum learning to occur.

The Iris S. and Bert L. Wolstein Media Center is equipped with an additional bank of computers that students and faculty can use if the computer lab is occupied. We have grown from 30 in the Malvern building to 119 computers in mere months. Our infrastructure utilizes the newest technology with servers, routers, and switches galore. The goals set for technology were lofty, but we have met them. Our students are learning and using technology in a state-of-the-art environment. Our staff is also using the new technology offered in the building. Through our new mentoring program, teachers aid other staff members, enhancing their educational experience.
